Campus Recruitment by SkyGroup, Bangalore for Geoinformatics students
On April 22, SkyGroup, Bangalore has conducted Campus Interview for recruiting
students of M.Sc., Geoinformatics and P.G.Diploma in Spatial
Technologies programme. They have selected eight of our students for
their Organisation. — at Geoinformatics Gandhigram.

Five
students from M.Sc., Geoinformatics and one student from P.G.Diploma in
Spatial Technologies have been recruited on the Campus interview
programme conducted on April 17 for a GIS company located in Cochin — at Geoinformatics Gandhigram.

The Entrance Examination for M.Sc., Geoinformatics for the academic year 2014-2015 held on june 6th fornoon and for P.G. Diploma in Spatial Technologies in the afternoon on the same day.

Applications

the academic year 2014-2015 will be issued from April 28th in Gandhigram
Rural Institute,Gandhigram. The Entrance examination for M.Sc.,
Geoinformatics will be on june 6th forenoon and afternoon for P.G.
Diploma in Spatial Technologies.

About
the University
The
Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) was founded in 1956 by two disciples of
Gandhiji, Dr.G.Ramachandran and Dr.T.S.Soundaram. The University Grants
Commission (UGC), New Delhi, Conferred on it the status of a Deemed
University in 1976. The Institute offers Doctoral, Master’s and Bachelor’s
degree, Diploma and Certificate programmes. The academic programmes have
attracted students from different parts of India and from other developing
countries.
About
the Department
GRI offers a two-year,
M.Sc., programme in Geoinformatics as well as a one-year, PG Diploma
programme in Spatial Technologies, with the aim of developing human resources
in Geoinformatics for the emerging, high-tech enterprise scenario in India.
This multi-disciplinary programme offers an opportunity to use a computer
constantly, enabling them to master the latest packages available in the
fields of GIS, Digital Image Processing, GPS and Computer Science. Both these programmes are employment
oriented. All the passed out student are placed in different companies and
Government Organisations.
